Emily studied literature and film at Columbia University, where she gained the ability to craft stories with text as well as images. As a new media journalist, she tells stories in whichever medium suits them best. Her signature style infuses classical compositions with modern aesthetics to create compelling portrait and documentary photography. Interested in a variety of subjects, Emily’s work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, Time Out, Der Spiegel, The Week, The New York Post, and The Sydney Morning Herald. Her work has been published in four different continents. Her interest in the lives of those around her has led her to seek out work with Habitat for Humanity, Americorps, and other non-governmental organizations. Currently residing in New York City, she is a contributor to Corbis Images and continuously pursues freelance local and international assignments.
